That’s why we couldn’t let this season pass without presenting a delicious solution. How would summer be without a fresh dessert with a touch of coffee? A fresh dessert with a touch of coffee and a little bit of chocolate is what we bring you today – the typical Italian tiramisu recipe but adapted for the low FODMAP diet! Below you can see all the ingredients you will need and also the safe serving size for your bowel.

Tiramisú

(Low FODMAP recipe)

Ingredients:

  • 3 egg yolks;
  • 100g white sugar
  • 250g mascarpone
  • 150ml American coffee (can also be espresso or decaf);
  • 8 gluten-free La Reine sticks
  • Cocoa powder q.b.

NOTES:
This recipe yields 4 servings of Tiramisu and is gluten, lactose and soya free. It is therefore a recipe that is suitable for coeliac disease, lactose intolerance and low FODMAP. As the recipe contains a total of 4 portions, the recommended low FODMAP serving size is only 1 portion (about 170g), according to Monash University recommendations. So this tiramisu can be eaten in the first phase of the low FODMAP diet, as long as the indicated portion is respected.
